Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium at Our School
At our school, we are committed to ensuring that every child receives the very best education and opportunities to belong, achieve and thrive.
The Pupil Premium funding is additional money provided by the government to help us improve outcomes for pupils who may face barriers to learning, including:
- Pupils eligible for Free School Meals (FSM)
- Children who have been eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (Ever6)
- Children in care or previously looked-after children
- Children with parents in the armed forces
We use Pupil Premium funding strategically to secure the greatest possible impact on pupils’ learning, wellbeing and long‑term outcomes.
Our approach is based on high‑quality teaching for all, targeted academic support, and wider strategies that address social, emotional and learning needs.
How We Use the Pupil Premium Funding
Funding is used to:
- Support and strengthen classroom teaching
- Provide targeted interventions for individuals and groups of children in reading, writing and maths
- Support children’s wellbeing and emotional development
- Offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities and remove any potential barriers to participation
- Support and work closely with families to support attendance and engagement
We evaluate our provision regularly to respond to any emerging needs and review our strategy annually to ensure funding is used effectively and sustainably so it has maximum impact on the outcomes of our children.
If you think your child may be eligible for Free School Meals or Pupil Premium support, please contact the school office confidentially - we are here to help.
